Access
to the school
We cannot be too careful about the safety of our children. Consequently, we
will keep all the doors of the school locked while the students are in
class. Access to the school is limited to the front door. The video camera
at the front door permits us to screen and buzz-in visitors to the school.
Visitors
to the school
For the safety and security of all children at Boucherville Elementary
School, visitors and parents are required
to report to the office when entering the school. We have an intercom
system at the school and can contact students and teachers from the office.
No one is permitted upstairs without an identification tag obtained at the
office.

Closing
BEFORE
THE START OF SCHOOL
The decision to close the schools of RIVERSIDE SCHOOL BOARD is made by the
Director General of the School Board usually before 6:30 A.M. (see: http://www.rsb.qc.ca ). The announcement
that Riverside School Board Schools are closed will also be made on the
radio on the following radio stations:
English:
CIQC, Q92, CJAD, CJFM, CBM, CHTX, and CHOM.
French:
CBF,CKVL,CKAC,CFTM,CKOI
AFTER
THE STUDENTS HAVE ARRIVED
Once the students have arrived in school every effort will be made to keep
the students in school for the remainder of the day, however this may not
always be possible.
If school is cancelled
after the children have arrived, no child will be allowed to go home before
it has been verified that there is an adult waiting for him/her. It is very
important that an emergency phone number is given to the school so we can
contact you or someone you trust in such circumstances.
·The school has an
Emergency Parent Telephone Chain in place to contact all parents in the
event that the school must be closed after students have arrived at school.
If circumstances oblige
us to evacuate the school quickly, the students will be brought to Holy Cross Church.
Our staff will supervise the children until the children can be picked up.
SHOULD THE SCHOOL BE
CLOSED, THE DAYCARE SERVICE WILL ALSO BE CLOSED.
