DECEMBER =Community Update -Please forward or print out as often as you like :)

December is the month of Christmas joy, music concerts, community dinners, and a time for friends and family . However among the joy there remains much need …so do remember your local Christmas basket food drives and reach a little deeper in your pockets to share the joy of the season with others.

With all the shopping and Concerts to attend and things to do…. Plus eating my way through those wonderful Christmas dinners/Cocktails etc.  There will be only one full issue of the Community Update this month.   Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas and  good Health to all those you Love in the New Year .

What has been happening in and around the South Shore…..

On Saturday November 22 a very interesting Dialogue was sponsored by the St-Jean Longueuil Diocese on Inter-Faith marriages. The panel of both Protestant and Catholic Clerics gave  an overview of some of the pass practices  and what are the current views on Inter-Church marriages. There is a much more openness today and the  real challenge is to allow the couple to grow and remain  in their faith . It is important  that they do not feel they have to choose on faith over the other. For often they would give up on both faiths. Watch for more information about future Dialogue s…as Christians share together….

Do not tell the South Shore Saints you cannot draw a crowd to Candiac on a  Saturday night.  On Nov 22 some 353 persons packed into the St-Marc’s Community centre to listen to the Barbershop Cabaret night. On the Menu were the South Shore Saints, the Gentleman @cords, Friends, the Cavaliers ..with a special feature performance by ‘As time Goes By .«  from Ottawa…A great success for sure.  Candiac never sounded so Good and in such Harmony  .Men do you want to learn to Sing Barbershop  call: Alan Briand 514-917-6926
